Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Headache
The most common cause of headache is dehydration. If you have not drunk water for many hours and you are suffering headache then you must try drinking a glass or two of water. If you regularly suffer headache, keep drinking sips of water throughout the day to avoid dehydration. Also don’t drink the alcoholic drinks as they cause dehydration.
Ginger is the most common remedy for the headache. Remember how ginger tea relaxes you whenever you feel stressed? Ginger is our all-rounder that has many health benefits. There are many soothing and medicinal properties in ginger that help you get rid of the headache and other diseases like flu, common cold etc. So, next time you are feeling headache or little bit nauseous, sip up your ginger tea or get relief.
I wonder how this magical spice manages to do so many things on its own. It can relieve your headache in two different ways. First, you can make a tea with ginger and cinnamon to drink. It will offer you a soothing effect to relive your headache. Second, you can make a cinnamon paste and mix it with water. Then, apply this paste on your forehead and lay down for 20-30 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water. This will get you relief from headache.
Collect some ice in the cloth and apply it on the forehead. This will create the cold compression making the pain area numb. It will also relax the blood vessels and promote the blood circulation in the head providing the instant relief from the headache. Alternatively, you can also apply the cold wet cloth on your head to relieve headache.
Peppermint is known for possessing many soothing and calming properties that can help in the treatment of headaches. Again, you can make tea with one spoon of peppermint and leaving it for 10-15 minutes and then drinking it will offer you instant relief from the headache.
